Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Following its price increase earlier this month, indie streamer Nebula is launching a new initiative to up its subscriber count.
Beginning Tuesday, current Nebula customers be given one “guest pass” per month for monthly subscribers, or three per quarter for annual and lifetime accounts, that they can offer to anyone for a week-long free trial of Nebula, as long as that person is new to Nebula.
The recipient of the guest pass will be able to sign up without payment info, download the Nebula app and watch content at no cost for seven days.
While some Nebula videos, those marked with a “black timebox,” can be viewed for free without a subscription, most of the streamer’s content is now exclusive or early access and is fully paywalled.
