Fans of the BBC sci-fi show will know Jodie Whitaker's incarnation as the 13th Doctor regenerated into David Tennant last year, as he re-joined the show for the 60th anniversary specials.
A fan account sharing updates from the Doctor Who set has uploaded a photo to X, formerly Twitter, showing Ncuti in character wearing a kilt.
He can be seen posing in a black leather jacket, yellow top and tartan kilt.Ncuti's first episode as lead actor is set to air in the "festive period" of 2023 while the 14th season of Doctor Who will air in 2024.
