NBC News announced that it has expanded the leadership roles of three executives. Catherine Kim has been promoted to executive vice president of news and will oversee the integration of coverage across all of the network’s platforms.

That includes “leveraging the storied brands of the News Group’s portfolio, including partnering with CNBC, Telemundo and Local,” Rebecca Blumenstein, president of editorial for NBC News, wrote in a memo to staffers.

David Verdi, executive vice president of global newsgathering, will add to his duties “the development of a framework for working more collaboratively across the News Group to expand our international footprint, in particular working more closely in partnership with Sky News and CNBC International,” Blumenstein wrote.

The domestic and international bureaus will report jointly to Kim and Verdi. They will continue to report to Blumenstein. Marc Greenstein, who is senior vice president, creative production and operations, will be promoted to a new role “spearheading the conception and execution of production across a greater portion of the News Group,” Blumenstein wrote, adding that he will partner with the operations and technology unit “to unify newsroom systems and practices across news brands and platforms.” He also will report to Blumenstein.
