UEFA are fully committed to the Nations League - even though there is a huge doubt when the finals could be played. The European governing body’s national team committee met on Monday and are trying to work out a formula to play out the remaining Nations League fixtures.
England have got Iceland, Belgium and Denmark in their group as games were supposed to be played this autumn with three lots of home and away fixtures.
But they are now likely to try and squeeze three games rather than two into international breaks to ensure the Nations League still goes ahead.
They also have the added complication of trying to get in the remaining Euro 2020 play-off games. England boss Gareth Southgate still does not know when his next fixture will be but
