Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Nathan Patterson has revealed he’d love to return to Rangers one day and finish his career at Ibrox. The 21-year-old left his boyhood club for Everton in January for a record-breaking £16 million transfer fee.
Patterson is now a regular at Goodison Park under boss Frank Lampard and Scotland’s first-choice right-back. He has a bumper contract with the Toffees which runs to 2027 and he’s loving life in the Premier League.
But Patterson says he has unfinished business at Rangers where he started his career under ex-gaffer Steven Gerrard. He admits he’d love to play for the club again in the future and win more silverware.
In an exclusive interview with Mailsport , Patterson said: “Of course I’d love to go back to Rangers later on in my career and finish what I started.
