Napa Valley Film Festival, honoring films that illustrate the relationship between culture, art and food. The awards events will include filmmaker panel discussions, immersive dining experiences, and cooking and beverage classes.
The series kicks off May 1 with a tribute to David Gelb, creator of Netflix’s “Chef’s Table,” with a panel featuring renowned chefs Thomas Keller, Alice Waters and Jamie Oliver, featured in the “Chef’s Table: Legends.” Also featured are a tribute to Gelb’s documentary “Jiro Dreams of.
Sushi” and an award for Oliver and Simon English, directors of documentary “Feeding Tomorrow.” “We are proud to launch this annual event to bring attention to the very best in culinary storytelling and welcome these amazing films and filmmakers into our freshman class,” said Thomas Bensel, managing director for the CIA’s California campuses.
