Nani hopes Cristiano Ronaldo stays at Manchester United amid a lack of viable options for a transfer. Ronaldo, 37, is not expected to fly to Australia for the final week of United's pre-season tour in Perth due to a "family issue" but it emerged earlier this month he wishes to leave United.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for Ronaldo, who rejected a two-year contract offer from a club in Saudi Arabia worth €275million.
Former United winger Nani came up against his old club with Melbourne Victory on Friday night when he came on for a late cameo, having recently joined the A-League team.
Nani was teammates with Ronaldo for two years at United and they played together for 11 years in the Portugal national team.
