Four dead dolphins have washed up on a beach with chunks of their bodies hacked off in a "very unusual" incident. The dolphins were found on Thurlestone beach in South Devon beach "literally in pieces", according to witnesses.
Some of the eye-witnesses and local residents speculated whether the dolphins' fins had been cut with a "blade". The four dolphins were spotted on Sunday, December 6th, by local residents and it is the latest incident in a long line of dead sea life washing up ashore DevonLive reports.
Eyewitness Charlie Lord said: "Altogether four dolphins had washed up. "They were literally in pieces on the beach, tail and beak missing with chunks out of them." This is thought to have possibly been down to increased shipping
