Families who attended last week's Manchester United v Rangers game say their children have been left 'traumatised' by the violence that unfolded in the stands of Old Trafford.
Trouble erupted in home sections of the stadium, where Rangers fans had managed to acquire tickets for the Europa League match, which ended with a 2-1 win to United.
Questions have already been asked as to how Rangers fans managed to get the tickets, but now families caught up in the chaos have called for a thorough investigation.
Gemma Ditondo had taken her 10-year-old son Charlie Nowick to Old Trafford where they are both season ticket holders. She said a number of away fans were in United's family section and were 'intoxicated and goading home fans'. "This resulted in a fight breaking out and full grown men falling on my son and crushing him," she said. "The incident was horrific, my son was screaming saying 'get me out', which I managed to do with the help of other fans. "He hurt his back and leg and is completely traumatised.
