The Berkshire mansion, which was once owned by the 1980s icon Kate Bush, is up for sale for £11.5 million after being listed with Strutt & Parker.

Kate purchased the Grade II listed Georgian home in the 1990s when she was pregnant with her son, Bertie, and she resided there with her husband, Danny McIntosh, until 2011.The property, located on the river Kennet near a picturesque village called Theale, was constructed in the early 1800s as a miller's house for the nearby watermill. The magnificent home stands on 22 acres of grounds and offered the singer-songwriter the privacy she wanted.

She previously said in an interview for her biography: “I’m really quite a quiet, private person. It’s quite a surprise to me to think I’m a famous person.” The 66-year-old converted two of the home's outbuildings into a recording and dance studio while she lived there.

It was here she wrote and recorded Aerial, which was her first album in 12 years when it was released in 2005. She also recorded the 2011 record 50 Words For Snow there. The Wuthering Heights hitmaker hasn't put out a record for more than a decade, the last being 50 Words For Snow, but she reportedly can't wait to get back into the studio.
