He lived a lively life!," he wrote. "Huge condolences to his friends and family. He was much loved," reports the Express. Beyond his time with Simple Minds, where he stepped in for Brian McGee in 1981, Kenny's drumming prowess was showcased in bands like Set the Tone, The O'clock Gang, and Big George and the Business.

Following the tragic news, fans have taken to social media to express their sorrow. One heartbroken fan posted: "So sad, chatted to Kenny quite a bit online in the last few years met him over 40 years ago.
