'Murderbot': First Look & Release Date Unveiled For Alexander Skarsgard's New Apple TV+ Series

Alexander Skarsgard has a new TV show coming out! The 48-year-old actor will star in and executive produce the upcoming Apple TV+ sci-fi series Murderbot, which is based on Martha Wells‘ book series “The Murderbot Diaries.” On Thursday (February 20), the streamer unveiled two first look photos and revealed the release date for the comedic thriller series. Keep reading to find out more… Murderbot is “about a self-hacking security construct who is horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients.

Murderbot (Skarsgard) must hide its free will and complete a dangerous assignment when all it really wants is to be left alone to watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in the universe.” Also starring in the series include Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones and Tamara Podemski.

The series was created, written, directed and produced by the Weitz brothers, Chris and Paul.

Murderbot will premiere it’s first two episodes on Friday, May 16th on Apple TV+, with new episodes every Friday through July 11th!
