Jamie Lang Norwegian broadcaster NRK has boarded Hummelfilm’s coming-of-age crime drama series “Nowheresville,” one of 10 projects participating in this year’s Berlin Co-Pro Series where producer Marte Hansen and series creator-director Rebecca W. Kjellmann are virtually pitching the series to potential partners, financers and broadcasters.Development on the project is already well underway, with four finished scripts and outlines for the show’s other four episodes already banked.“We are currently continuing the writing process, while working on the financing and production set-up for the series,” the partners explained to Variety before pitching in Berlin.

Franklin will adapt the drama for the small screen with the British writer-director Darcia Martin (“Riches,” “Shakespeare & Hathaway,”Call the Midwife”).The initial series, structured as a six-part drama, will be executive produced by Harvey Myman, Patty Lenahan Ishimoto and Patrick Irwin, who first worked together on A+E Networks’ U..K.

Yossman BBC drama “Peaky Blinders” has set a premiere date for its sixth and final season.The show, led by Cillian Murphy, will return on Feb. 27.Murphy plays Tommy Shelby in the hit series.BBC revealed the news with an enormous mural painted on the side of a wall in Birmingham of Murphy’s face, which was tweeted with the caption: “The Shelbys are back in business.”The mural was created by by street artist Akse.

Mumford & Sons were targeted by “internet mobs” amid the “Twitter storm” that led to his departure from the band.The banjoist faced backlash back in March after tweeting praise for a book by US journalist Andy Ngo, titled Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan To Destroy Democracy. He said the release was “important”, hailing Ngo as a “brave man” in a since-deleted post.Marshall subsequently confirmed that he would be taking a break from the group, and announced in a statement last week (June 24) that he’d stepped down from his role for good.“I know now that, as long as I am a member of the band, speaking my mind on the evils of political extremism could bring them trouble,” he said.

Mumford & Sons star Winston Marshall has quit the band - five months after being embroiled in a Twitter storm.  The banjoist and lead guitarist, 33,  said he made the “difficult decision” after he caused controversy earlier this year after tweeting about US journalist Andy Ngo's book titled Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan To Destroy Democracy. In a tweet, which he later deleted, Marshall said he had read the "important" book and he praised Ngo as a "brave man".
