Mumford and Sons' Winston Marshall has issued a grovelling apology after he faced a huge backlash for endorsing a book by a right wing pundit.
The 33-year-old praised controversial author Andy Ngo's "brave" book on ANTIFA's "radical plan to destroy democracy". Winston took to social media to say: "Finally had the time to read your important book.
You’re a brave man." He has since deleted the comment but not before fans of the band quickly let their feelings be known and accused him of "endorsing fascism".
It's led to the musician apologising and announcing that he will be "taking time away from the band to examine my blindspots".
