A mum who killed an elderly woman when she lost control of her car after being stung by a wasp has had the charges against her dropped.
Helen Shaw insisted that the pain and shock of the sting to her leg is what caused her to swerve head-on into the vehicle of Rosina Ingram, according to Teesside Live.
However, in the aftermath of the incident in July 2019, prosecutors charged her with causing the Mrs Ingram's death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The 40-year-old has had the impending trial hanging over her for the last two years and could have faced up to five years in prison if convicted by a jury at Teesside Crown Court.
