A woman who purchased a £25 artificial insemination at-home kit has welcomed a baby boy after her very first attempt. Bailey Ennis, who was desperate to be a mum but didn't have the desire to be in a relationship, opted to get pregnant via a sperm donor September 2021.

After looking into the procedure, she found an experienced donor online who lived close-by and ordered an artificial insemination kit for £25.

She fell pregnant in October 2021 and welcomed son Lorenzo into the world at 6.54pm on 2nd July 2022, weighing 5lbs 2oz. Bailey says she "so happy" that she decided to go it alone and is now settling into life as a single mum, Hull Live reports.

The stay-at-home parent said: “Having a baby by myself is the best thing I have ever done. “Being a mum is wonderful and I am so happy I decided to go it alone.
