Parents blamed their children for horrific living conditions with faeces smeared on walls and told a social worker they could 'take them', a court has heard.
The parents, who cannot be identified to protect the identities of the children, left a razor out and used one of their children's toothbrushes to clean a lightbulb, Liverpool Crown Court heard on Tuesday (May 30).
The court also heard how they were left in nappies 'day and night' and were not potty trained. Both parents claimed they had not neglected their children, who were all under the age of 16, reports the Liverpool Echo.
