Every night Kayley Thompson sleeps with her six-year-old son Kaylan Gibson in a single bed she describes as a 'death trap'.

Kaylan, who has a range of medical conditions, including cerebral palsy, has hurt himself in bed several times in recent months, ChronicleLIve reports.
