Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has been praised for 'stepping in' to defend a teenage girl caught up in a brawl 'over boys' outside her home in Stockport.
The mother of the 15-year-old girl told the Sun that she is 'extremely grateful' to the soap star for intervening. Greater Manchester Police are investigating reports of an assault outside the 40-year-old's home in Bramhall on Friday (March 15).
Footage of the alleged incident, which has been published by the Sun, appeared to show Tina caught in the middle of a brawl.
In the video, it appears that her hair was pulled and she was punched as she wrestled a youth during the brawl. Tina was given time off work after the alleged incident which left her 'traumatised', the Mail reports, with ITV bosses said to be supporting the actress.
