A mum is fighting to have her late partner added to their daughters' birth certificate as the second anniversary of his death nears.
Grace Lewis was sent into a spiral of grief when Billy Townsend was hit by a train at Goodmayes Station, Essex in 2018. When she gave birth to their twin daughters Bella and Billie four months later the 26-year-old was too busy mourning and being a mum to bother much with paperwork.
Now, with the girls a year and a half old, Grace has been stumped by the process of having Billy registered as their father.
Because Bella and Billie are non-identical it is possible that they have different dads - with one study estimating one in 13,000 fraternal twins have separate fathers.
