A mum whose daughter weighed just 1lb when she was born 15 weeks early has spoken of her heartbreak after her 'perfect' baby died in her arms.
Hayley Ryder gave birth to her second child, Nevaeh Arlea Sanders, after going into labour early at just 25 weeks. Although her due date was not until January 21, Hayley gave birth to her daughter on October 11 of last year.
Her ‘perfect’ 1lb baby was immediately ‘whisked off’ to the neonatal intensive care unit at Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral, the Liverpool ECHO reports. She was feeding, growing and after just a week in intensive care, she was transferred over to the high dependency unit (HDU).
