A brave cancer survivor has told how she started to plan her funeral before making a miracle comeback – in a powerful charity event speech.

Lauren Boyle, bravely shared her incredible story of her cancer battle to a room full of women at huge Cancer Research event in Ayr last week.Ayrshire Live previously told how Lauren had defied the odds and beat cancer after being given a £250,000 stem cell treatment earlier this year.And she defiantly told the Butterfly Event called Butterfly Bazar at Ayr Racecourse, how she is living proof that fundraising to fund research does work that magic can happen.The 35-year-old mum of two from Tarbolton turned inspirational speaker took centre stage at the glitzy bash just days after receiving her first hair cut – after she lost her hair during her gruelling treatment.An elated Lauren told the audience how her hair appointment was a day she had been “dreaming of”, as she shared the amazing news that she is now six months in remission.It comes after she bounced back from being told her cancer was incurable as she feared that Christmas 2022 could be her last, as she revealed for the first time that her cancer spread to her brain during her devastating two-year ordeal.In an emotional address, Lauren said: “On December 22 last year, after a few weeks in hospital due to my pain being bad and my weight loss, we had a meeting with my team.“We sat down in the wee tea room and one of my consultants started to say there was nothing else they could do.

I had cancer in my nervous system and I was incurable.“I don’t remember much I just remember going out of the room and crying.
