After spending a lot of money on plants, it would be a shame for them to shrivel and discolour. No one wants their plants to die, but what happens if they do?

You could go out and get more - costing yourself another great expense - or you could try something rather quirky. A mum has come up with a bizarre way of ensuring the pricey plants in her garden always look green and healthy.

Gail Woollaston, 38, from Birmingham loves a bit of DIY, so she decided to 'revive' her dead plants all on her own - and her method had her two children in stitches.

The parent went out to her nearest hardware store and purchased some green spray paint. I'm sure you can figure out where this is heading...
