Mum gobsmacked after being charged £57 for pick and mix bag at Christmas markets

A Christmas market shopper was left baffled by the eye watering cost of a £57 pick and mix goodie bag she picked up at a stall, the Mirror reports.

The gobsmacked mother said she put half of the sweets back but was still charged £26 for the new amount of the normal sized bag.

Christmas markets are notoriously known for being overpriced and the costs only seem to get significantly worse every year. Manchester-based rapper OneDa who was buying the extortionate bag of sweets for her daughter took to TikTok to prove the 'madness' of the Christmas market prices.OneDa who's real name is Onye Ezeh shows the normal-sized bag of pick and mix being weighed on the scales as she says: "Guys, £26 for these sweets.

How much was it before this?"The Kingdom of Sweets shop assistant at Manchester Christmas markets can than be heard confirming the price of the original heavier bag which would have been £27 extra.
