A mum has been awarded £40,000 in damages after a court ruled she was unfairly treated by her employer who fired her whilst she was on maternity leave.
According to the Mirror, Anastassia lost her office job just a few weeks after giving birth, leaving her unable to feed her baby.
She was told by her employer, Dhillons Management Services, to go to the Jobcentre for money after the Kent-based company let her go without warning.Ms Rodin escalated her case to an employment tribunal in 2017 following her dismissal.The tribunal heard how the stress of losing her job caused Ms Rodin to stop producing enough milk for her daughter, leading to "additional distress" for the new mum.The hearing was told she was a £25,000-a-year trainer at Dhillons
