Mum, 39, who went to bed with period pains never woke up as family search for answers

A distraught sister has paid tribute to her younger sibling who went to bed with period pains and never woke up. Amanda Barber, 41, was left devastated after her sister Anne-Marie, 39, mysteriously passed away at home in Warrington, Cheshire.Anne-Marie, a mum-of-one, had complained of abdominal pains on August 18 and took painkillers before bed.

When her partner went to check on her, he couldn’t wake Anne-Marie up, reported the Manchester Evening News.Amanda was working at McDonald’s when she received three missed calls and two messages from her sister’s partner.

She called him back and he immediately told her: “She’s gone.”Amanada assumed her sister had just left the house. She asked him “Where’s she gone?” and he replied: “No.

She’s gone, gone.” She added: “He realised she wasn’t breathing and did all he could to administer CPR. He rang an ambulance and they came and took her to hospital.
