The Japan ace completed a hat-trick with just four minutes to go to finally see off brave Livingston and secure safe passage to the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
Kyogo completed the job but for spells Celtic fans were pulling out their hair out with their side missing chances and leaking goals at the other end.
Twice Maeda notched and both times Livi hit back, with Dan MacKay and Tete Yengi silencing Celtic Park. But eventually the pressure told and Maeda got his rewards for a relentless display – in his 100th Hoops appearance as well.
