A multi-sensory room has been created at Lydiafield Care Home in Annan. Annan’s Queen of the Border Macy Oliver cut the ribbon to officially launch the room.

The facility is expected to be very popular, alongside her champion Lloyd Downie, retinue members and Dumfriesshire Deputy Lord Lieutenant Hardip Atwal.

A spokesperson for Lydiafield said: “Thank you to Queen of the Border Macy, her champion Lloyd and Depute Lord Lieutenant Hardip who was on hand to officiate.

The retinue enjoyed some refreshments before continuing with their duties. "We wish them a fantastic time during Annan ROM. “This room is a dedicated space to offer inclusive experiences for as many of our residents as possible. "We have been fundraising to make this happen.
