British actress Una Stubbs has died at the age of 84. The stage and screen star, who was best known for her roles in the film Summer Holiday with Cliff Richard and BBC sitcoms Till Death Us do Park and In Sickness And In Health, passed away at home in the company of her dear family.
Hertfordshire native Una played Mrs Hudson in BBC’s Sherlock opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman and was also much adored for her role of Aunt Sally in Worzel Gummidge.
A statement issued by the actress’ family confirmed her death. ‘Mum passed away quietly today with her family around her, in Edinburgh.
