It would also go on to become the best-selling live album of all time.An all-new extended, remixed and remastered edition of the iconic session, Eric Clapton Unplugged… Over 30 Years Later, will be available to stream globally on Paramount+ from next Wednesday (February 12).It’ll include exclusive content of Clapton discussing the inspiration behind specific songs and performances with the crew just before he took the stage, seamlessly integrated with the performance footage.During the intimate performance, Clapton reimagined his catalogue with first-time acoustic arrangements of hits such as ‘Layla’ and ‘Tears In Heaven’.
The singer-songwriter also paid homage to the blues music that influenced him, playing classics like ‘Before You Accuse Me’ (originally recorded by Bo Diddley) and ‘Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out’ (by Bessie Smith).The new 90-minute film premiered in select UK and US cinemas last month.
