EXCLUSIVE: The Motion Picture Sound Editors is doing its part to help with relief efforts amid the ongoing fire disaster in Los Angeles County.
The group is donating $50,000 to the Entertainment Community Fund’s LA Fire Relief Fund, which is focused on providing emergency financial assistance to entertainment industry professionals impacted by this week’s wildfires.
The 72-year-old global sound artists org also created an online community forum to facilitate communication and support among its members.
And it will match up to another $50,000 of donations made through the MPSE donation portal for a total of $100,000. “Our hearts are with everyone whose lives have been affected by this tragic and devastating catastrophe,” said MPSE President David Barber. “The MPSE is actively seeking ways to assist our members and others in need.
