MP welcomes vital cash boost to help community group through cost of living crisis

A Lanarkshire community group has scooped a vital cash boost which will help them through a challenging period ahead. Biggar and District Men’s Shed secured an award of £5700 from the National Lottery’s Community Fund - a sum which will be of huge support to the local facility during the cost-of-living crisis.

Since moving into its new permanent location at the former Walston Primary School in Elsrickle at the end of 2021, the Men’s Shed has become a focal point for local men who want to connect with others, enjoy their company and undertake purposeful activity.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
