Hundreds of mourners gathered for a vigil and silent prayer service in memory of nine-year-old Olivia Pratt-Korbel. The nine-year-old was tragically shot dead last week by a gunman who forced his way into her family home in Liverpool.
Olivia's family were among the 200 people who gathered at St Margaret Mary's RC Church tonight (Wednesday), the Liverpool Echo reports.
Mourners started to arrive at around 5.30 pm to pay their respects to the St Margaret Mary pupil. People hugged one another as they waited for the family to arrive.
Olivia's mum, Cheryl, arrived in a silver car and entered the church through a side door. As crowds gathered waiting for the vigil to start at 6 pm drivers and passers-by could be seen bowing their heads out of respect for Olivia.
