The new Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton have visited an Army training centre in Surrey to meet troops taking part in funeral arrangements ahead of the Queen being laid to rest on Monday 19 September.
The late monarch died on 8 September, and her body is currently Lying-in-State in Westminster Hall as members of the public come to pay their respects.
Kate and William's trip to the army training centre will be especially poignant as more than 1,000 Royal Navy sailors and Royal Marines will join the procession for Her Majesty's funeral on Monday.They have been holding rehearsals at the training ground ahead of the historic event, which has seen troops from across the globe jet over to the UK.
It's part of a number of public appearances from first-in-line to the throne Prince William and his wife Kate, both 40, as they support his father King Charles III in his new role as sovereign.
