The frustration of two mountain bikers over the state of a popular Cambusbarron trail has led to the creation of a community litter pick.Alastair Hair and Chris Farquhar regularly use the trails around Gillies Hill while out and about - but noticed a rise in the amount of litter on the route during lockdown.It prompted the pair to bring together around 20 local cyclists to clear rubbish from the wooded areas last July, with around 30 bags coming off the hill.And the litter picks have now gone from strength to strength, with other outdoor groups, university students and even local families pitching in a ‘Hallowe’en Trail Clean’ event on October 23 which saw more than 800 items of litter cleared from the site.The picks are organised in
