A motorcyclist appears to have been seriously hurt following a crash in Salford tonight. The incident happened on Albion Way shortly before 6.15pm on Saturday.
Pictures from the scene showed a motorcycle in the carriageway and a police tent. The road was closed tonight and police investigators were at the scene.
The rider appears to have been unseated after crashing into a barrier. READ MORE: Sir Howard Bernstein, Manchester legend, dies A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: "At around 6:15pm today (Saturday, 22nd July), firefighters were called to assist Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) at the scene of a crash involving a motorbike on Albion Way in Salford. "Crews were at the scene for around an hour.” Greater Manchester Police has been approached for a comment.
