A motorcyclist has died following a horror crash with a car in West Lothian.Emergency services were called to the A89, between Armadale and Westrigg, after the alarm was raised at around 9.15pm on Friday.
A Toyota Celica was travelling westbound on the road when it collided with a motorcycle.Ambulance crews attended but the 35-year-old female motorcyclist was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family has been informed. The Toyota Celica left the road and ended up on a grass verge and the 20-year-old male driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was closed for several hours to allow collision investigators to conduct enquiries at the location. A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
