A motorbike rider and passenger have suffered serious injuries following a crash with a police car. Emergency services were called to the smash on Wood Street, in Middleton, at 6.35pm on Sunday, May 31.
A Greater Manchester Police vehicle and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. The motorbike driver, a man in his 30s, and the passenger, a woman in her 20s, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A GMP spokesman said they are currently in a stable condition. Nobody else was injured. The incident will be referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
