Motor engulfed in fireball as terrifying video shows Edinburgh Bonfire Night chaos

A car was engulfed in a fireball in an Edinburgh park during Bonfire Night chaos after parts of the vehicle were seen "exploding" next to a busy main road.

Emergency services were out in full force to deal with several instances of people setting off fireworks around the city. The blaze was spotted at Sighthill Park on Saturday evening, with one witness reporting parts exploding from the blaze as it burnt the grass below, reports Edinburgh Live.

Footage shows the car completely engulfed in flames and left on the grass next to a main road, as parts fly from the inferno and land on the turf.The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances attended shortly before 10pm and extinguished the blaze before leaving, ensuring that the area was safe.

They also said there were no reported injuries.Elsewhere, groups of youths in the Niddrie area were seen aiming fireworks and projectiles at cars, people, and even an ambulance.
