Dan Casey says Motherwell have fire in their bellies to end their Premiership season on a high with a win against St Johnstone.A home win in the finale at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon will land their Perth visitors in the relegation play-off.But for Casey it’s about bouncing back from Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat at Hibs and giving fans something back for what has been a rollercoaster season.Defender Casey, 26, said: “It’s disappointing, you could see we were all quite frustrated.“It turned into party mode for them [Hibs] and that’s not what we wanted.“So there’s a bit of fire in the belly for Sunday to put things right.“We’ve had an up and down season and we don’t want to finish on that.

We want to finish on the right foot, our fans and staff all deserve that.“So we need to get our mind right and get ready for Sunday.”Myziane Maolida’s 38th-minute penalty for a controversial Stephen O'Donnell handball put Hibs on their way, with Martin Boyle scoring either side of the interval to secure a 3-0 win in Edinburgh.Casey said: “If I am being honest we are quite frustrated.“I think the penalty was very harsh, I don’t think Stephen knew much about it, it came to his hand that quickly.“It’s a hard one.

I know by the book it’s probably a handball, but we feel hard done by.“And if I am being honest, the game changes after that, because I don’t think there was much in it.“They had a big crowd and the goal gave them a lift.

We’ve done it all year, we have played in front of big crowd and it’s just part of the job.“You need to focus, and maybe we didn’t do it as well as we have.”Motherwell’s 15-game winless streak ultimately ended their hopes of a top-six finish, and Casey reckons they must learn from that for next season. The Irishman
