Sean Goss admits Christmas away from home can be tough for a footballer but he insists three points against Kilmarnock would certainly provide him with the perfect present to make up for it.The German-born midfielder moved to Manchester when he was eight and following his exit from Manchester United as a youngster, a spell in London with Queen's Park Rangers followed before he moved north to play for Rangers then St Johnstone in the SPFL.A two-year spell at Shrewsbury Town came before he moved back to Scotland to join Motherwell in the summer of 2021, so he admits this time of year always feel a bit "strange."However, as Motherwell prepare to face Kilmarnock tonight in their final game before the big day, Goss says picking up points over the festive period - which also sees them face Rangers on December 28 and Livingston on January 2 - would definitely bring some Christmas cheer.He said: "It's a bit of a strange one, especially when you are away from home."It almost feels like it is not Christmas so for me it will be about getting my head down and getting on with the games."If we get a load of points over Christmas it will make it a lot better."Bringing home three points on Friday would be brilliant."I'm looking forward to it.
