Motherwell have launched a new third kit - with all profits being split between four charities to help support positive mental health and the fight against suicide. The club released their special Darkness to Light luminous kit, which also marks the 25th anniversary of a similar coloured kit from the 1997-98 season, today and it sees the club team up with Samaritans, Breathing Space, Childline and local charity Chris’s House to encourage fans who are struggling to "speak up, speak out and be heard."The speak up, speak out, be heard message also features within the neck taping on the shirts and the four helpline numbers for the charities are sewn onto the kit.The four charities will all benefit equally from the profits of the kit and Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows said: "We wanted to come up with something that gave back to the charities who the club constantly signpost people towards.“Most of our messaging around positive mental health and suicide prevention encourages people to use theses amazing services, which are sadly getting much busier in these difficult times.“Our new kit will not only increase the visibility of what they do with with the helpline numbers patch, but will raise vital funds to allow these charities to continue to keep helping people who need it most in the local community.”Earlier this season, Motherwell announced that Suicide Prevention North Lanarkshire branding would again be on the first team players’ sleeves throughout the 2022/23 season in a bid to encourage players, supporters and the wider community to talk about suicide and positive mental health.

The strip launched in the Well Shop today and is available now online from motherwelldirect.co.uk. Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitt
