Most Brits 'can't recognise Scotland's most famous queen' Mary Queen of Scots

dailyrecord.co.ukShe's Scotland's most famous queen and rivals even the likes of William Wallace and Robert the Bruce as one of the country's most recognisable historical names.Mary Queen of Scots has appeared in films, TV shows and even on RuPaul’s Drag Race, but new research has shown that most Brits aren't able to identify her.When shown a portrait of of the famous Scottish queen, over half (51%) were unable to identify her, while just over a quarter (27%) could correctly state how old she was when she was executed.Only 18% knew that she was just six days old when she became Queen of Scotland, and nearly three-quarters (73%) couldn’t say how many children she had.
