Morrissey’s pro Black Lives Matter tweet dragged on social media: ‘You’re part of the problem’

Morrissey showed his support for Blackout Tuesday in response to the Black Lives Matter protests worldwide – but not everyone is so convinced by his statement.

The Smiths frontman is one of the UK and indie music’s most celebrated singers and songwriters, thanks to classic songs like How Soon Is Now?, This Charming Man and Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now.

However, in recent years, he has become more known for his political beliefs, backing the far right For Britain party – so his support of Black Lives Matter rang rather hollow for some.
