More than a dozen GP surgeries in Greater Manchester received an “inadequate” or “requires improvement” rating in their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. The CQC inspects health providers and gives them one of four overall ratings - outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate.

A total of two GPs surgeries in Greater Manchester received the “inadequate” rating at their latest inspection, while a further 11 were deemed to require improvement, as of February 1, the most recent date available.
