More snow on the way for Greater Manchester with new Met Office warning issued

The Met Office has issued a new snow and ice weather warning for Greater Manchester ahead of more wintry showers for our region.

As the freezing Arctic snap continues this week, more alerts have been issued by the forecast to come into force today (Thursday).

The yellow weather warning for our region will come into place at 12pm and will last until 10am tomorrow. Wintry showers are expected to start again from later this afternoon, into the evening and overnight into the early hours as temperatures plummet to just 1C.

A mix of snow and sleet is forecast for Greater Manchester, before rain showers are set to sweep over on Friday morning.
