Monica Lewinsky has just celebrated her birthday, and like many has taken a moment to reflect on her life so far. The former White House intern found herself thrust into the spotlight at the tender age of 24 when she admitted to having an affair with then-President Bill Clinton who was 26 years her senior.
Clinton denied the affair, famously telling the nation ‘I did not have sexual relations with that woman’ only to later confess the truth, which led to an impeachment trial from which he was acquitted.
