Momma have announced details of their new album ‘Welcome To My Blue Sky’ and shared the lead single ‘I Want You (Fever)’ – listen below. The Brooklyn-based four-piece will release the album on April 4 via Lucky Number / Polyvinyl and you can pre-order/pre-save it here.
It will be the band’s fourth album in total and serves as the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Household Name’.‘I Want You (Fever)’ showcases the band’s spiky, ‘90s-throwback indie aesthetic, with hooky, double-vocal leads and scuzzy, slacker guitar lines.
Watch the Jaxon Whittington-directed video below.Speaking about the song, the band have said: “‘I Want You (Fever)’ is a song we wrote about wanting to be with someone who has a girlfriend, or someone who isn’t over their ex.
It’s pining after someone, but there’s also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you. The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era – we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.”We’re going on tour this spring with @brennanwedl, On Being An Angel, and @wishy_music_777.
