Moment hero PC runs into burning building to save families after cannabis factory fire

A police officer has been hailed a hero after he ran into a burning building to rescue families trapped inside. PC Spencer Lunn, 26, was driving in Birmingham in the early hours of December 9 last year when he saw flames bursting through the roof of flats above a row of shops.

The footage of the dramatic incident, which was caught on the officer’s body-worn camera, has been released by West Midlands Police.

It shows PC Lunn running into the burning building, banging on doors and ensuring everyone was safely evacuated. PC Lunn, who has been with the police for three years, said: “It all happened so fast and I was just operating on adrenaline. “I just reacted and did what I thought was right at the time as the only thing going through
