Footage of the moment a knife was found in a bag alongside the passport of a man who is alleged to have organised the murder of Ashley Dale was played in court.
Niall Barry was stopped by police while travelling to Glastonbury Festival last June.He was in a taxi to the festival with James Witham, who has admitted shooting and killing Ashley at her home in Old Swan, Liverpool, last August, but denies murder.
The pair are two of six men currently on trial at Liverpool Crown Court in connection with the 28-year-old's death. Witham, 41, accepts kicking in Ashley's front door and opening fire with a Skorpion sub-machine gun and firing the bullet that would claim Ashley's life.
has claimed he did not know she was there at the time and was trying to "send a message" to Lee Harrison, Ashley's 25-year-old boyfriend, Liverpool ECHO reports.
